hooray, hooray,
i'm your silver lining.

hooray, hooray,
but now i'm gold.

all I want for Christmas

I want to fall asleep five minutes, not five hours, after I’m ready to. I want 2009 to stay in 2009, so when 2010 rolls around I feel fresh and new with the new year. I want a love like the Fredricksons’. I want the butterflies, the fireworks, the tiny spark. I want my hair to be long again. I want creativity and inspiration to spew to and from me. I want the last corner of my room to be painted. I want to forget you and not hurt when someone new wears the same cologne or deodorant you do, because even though it’s the same, it’s totally different. I want to know my scent. I want the valley in my bed to be gone! I want to get out of here. I want new people, but I want the old, too. I want a bigger room. I want to be small again. I want to pick up drawing again. I want to have dreams and not nightmares. I want to be older. I want to be smarter. I want more tattoos. I want my room and my car to be clean. I want to be what he wants, cause I might be what he needs. I want to know what I want. I want to know what I need. I want to learn how to control myself. I want to learn how to make myself happy. I want to kick my bad habits. I want everything negative out of my life. I want my brother to marry his girlfriend. I want my sister to find someone who’s actually worth her time. I want my other sister to finish her masters and marry Danny and have a child. I want to know what I’m destined for. I want a new pair of glasses. I want to know how the universe decides where to place me. I want to know where I will finally fall into place.

most of these are unrealistic.

you let me in, I slip into your room. I’m shaking and the sun will come up soon. you have me now, I’m sure it’s no surprise. I’m all yours, I’m hoping that you’re mine.

it’s a beautiful thing when you’ve got a hand to hold. it’s a beautiful thing when you call me in from the cold.

so tell me now, is this what you want? cause I’ve been waiting for so long just to let you in.

the pressure’s up, I need to hear your voice. we’re moving fast like I have any choice. my collarbones, your fingers on my hips… did you ever think that we’d end up like this?

it’s a beautiful thing when you’ve got a hand to hold. it’s a beautiful thing when you call me in from the cold.

so tell me now, is this what you want? cause I’ve been waiting for so long just to let you in. so tell myself this is what I want, cause I’ve been fighting for so long just to give in, just to give in. let me give in. letting you in, letting you win. second time now, are you changing your mind? cause I don’t think now I can let this go. you always move fast and I’m dropping behind, and you won’t know but I fall like a stone.

so tell me now, is this what you want? cause I’ve been waiting for so long just to let you in. so tell myself this is what I want, cause I’ve been fighting for so long just to give in.t

Russell: My dad made it sound so easy. He’s really good at camping and how to make fire from rocks and stuff. He use to come to all my sweat lodge meetings and afterwards we’d go get ice cream. I always get chocolate and he always gets butter brickle and then we sit on this one curb right outside. I’ll count all the blue cars and he counts all the red ones and whoever gets the most wins… I like that curb. It might sound boring but I think the boring stuff is the stuff I remember the most.
